Between 19 November and 17 December, you can experience an extraordinary journey between two of the world’s most famous cities, with stops in Spain, Portugal and, after crossing the Atlantic, Bermuda. On board, you’ll find plenty of fun, events and relaxation, reminiscent of the Golden Age of transatlantic cruises, before heading off to enjoy the Big Apple.

The inaugural cruise of MSC Seascape is truly a Grand Voyage, whose route and duration will take you back to the time of the great transoceanic voyages between Europe and the New World and to the Age of Exploration and big dreams. A unique experience, enjoyed on board a modern, elegant and environmentally friendly ship, whose 13,000 square metres of open decks will bring you closer than ever to the sea. Take a stroll along the walkway that runs the full length of the ship, take a dip in the stunning Infinity Aft infinity pool and cross the Bridge of Sighs, a spectacular glass skywalk that will leave you breathless.

We set sail from Civitavecchia and head straight for Barcelona. This city immediately conveys a Mediterranean joie de vivre in the shops of the Barrio Gótico and performances by street artists in La Rambla, as well as captivating art lovers with the Picasso Museum and Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia.

Valencia offers an exciting mix of old and new, from its historic cathedral to the City of Arts and Sciences – and, of course, the wonderful Oceanographic Museum. The spectacular Albufera Park provides a close-up look at flamingos and numerous protected natural wonders.

Seville, accessible from Cadiz, is visited amidst the rhythms of flamenco, waving fans and the aromas of tapas. Shopping in the Calle Sierpes, with its awnings sheltering you from the sun’s rays, is a truly unique experience, as are the spectacular Giralda Tower and the world-famous Plaza de España.

Funchal is the last port of call before embarking on our Atlantic crossing. As well as relaxing on the beach and admiring the dizzying view from the top of Cabo Giro, you can take a fun downhill ride in cestinhos from the Pico dos Barcelos.

The five-day Atlantic voyage is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy all the ship’s attractions and begin to get into the Big Apple ‘mood’ that inspired MSC Seascape. The ship’s shopping area recreates the atmosphere of Times Square, New York’s most iconic square, and in the Casino, a three-metre high replica of the Statue of Liberty prepares travellers for the appearance of New York’s most famous landmark. The first sighting of the ‘Liberty View’ after the crossing generates in everyone the same thrill and excitement felt by so many migrants when they arrived in the land of dreams. It’s just like being in a movie. Broadway-inspired shows will be staged in the theatre, hot dogs as good as those served on the famous Fifth Avenue will be available at the buffet and Manhattan cocktails will be sipped at the bar while listening to jazz and blues, just like in Harlem.

The ship’s penultimate stop before its final mooring in New York is in Bermuda. At King’s Wharf, you can enjoy an excursion to St David’s Lighthouse, plan a day of snorkelling at the reef or simply relax before your arrival in the Big Apple.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the great transatlantic voyages of old and book your Grand Voyage between Rome and New York now.
